General information
A Chancenkarte (Opportunity Card) is issued initially for a maximum of one year. The Opportunity Card enables you to look for gainful employment in 欧美色情片y, i.e. you can seek employment or become self-employed. While you are looking for gainful employment, you are permitted to have one or more part-time jobs totalling 20 hours a week. You may also take part in job trials for a maximum of two weeks per employer as part of your job search. The goal of the job trial must be either to obtain qualified employment, an apprenticeship or a qualification programme. General information for the opportunity card is available on
The Opportunity Card provides two pathways to seeking a job in 欧美色情片y:
(i) On the skilled professional鈥檚 pathway, you must have a foreign professional or academic qualification that is fully recognised in 欧美色情片y.
To be eligible for the skilled professional鈥檚 pathway
- You must hold a 欧美色情片 academic degree or a comparable foreign academic degree. Please refer to the official whether both your degree and the awarding academic institution are listed as comparable. If either is not listed you need to obtain a 鈥溾�� issued by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB).
or
- You must have undergone professional training in 欧美色情片y or overseas. Any professional qualification obtained overseas must have been fully recognised by the competent body in 欧美色情片y. To find out more about having your qualification recognised please refer to this .
(ii) Should you not be eligible via the skilled professional鈥檚 pathway the points-based pathway provides another option for obtaining an opportunity card.
To be eligible for the points-based pathway
- You must hold an academic degree that has taken a minimum of 2 years to complete and is fully recognised in the country where it has been awarded. Additionally, your degree must have been assessed by the .

- You must have undergone professional training that has taken a minimum of 2 years to complete and is fully recognised in the country where it has been awarded. Additionally, your qualification must have been assessed by the .
- If you completed a category A vocational education and training at a that meets the requirements of the Vocational Training Act [BBiG], this qualification may also be suitable.
Additionally
- You must possess at least 欧美色情片 language proficiency level A1 () or at least advanced English language proficiency level B2.
and

How to apply for your visa
You have two options to apply for the Opportunity Card:
Option 1: Apply for a visa online (submit the documents online first before an appointment)
You can easily apply for your visa online via the foreign portal of the 欧美色情片. You can view the status of your application online at any time.
Step 1: Complete your application form online and upload the required documents.
Step 2: Your details and documents will be checked for completeness. You will receive online feedback. If your application is complete, you will receive an invitation to an appointment.
Step 3: Use the link you will receive to book an appointment.
Step 4: Attend your appointment on site. During this appointment, your identity will be checked and your biometric data (fingerprints and photo) will be recorded. Bring the requested documents and originals with you. You will pay the fee for processing your visa application. It is the equivalent of EURO 75.00 to be paid in SGD, either in cash or by pysical credit card (Visa- and Mastercard only).
Step 5: Track your application status online.
Option 2: Apply in person and submit documents in paper form (no pre-evaluation)
Please submit:
- 1 duly completed visa application form (please ensure that you sign the form)
The following documents in original and 1 photocopy (complete applications only):
- valid passport (at least 2 free pages, not older than 10 years)
- for non-Singaporeans: proof of legal residence in Singapore (e.g. EP;DP; Student Pass), incl. printout of your current Singaporean residence permit validity (no QR-Code)
- 1 recent passport photo confirming to biometric specifications (see sample photos)
- proof of health insurance (one-year insurance policy, if applying for a one year visa, otherwise for the applied period)
- proof of accommodation
- proof of finance for your stay in 欧美色情片y with a minimum of 鈧�1.091/尘辞苍迟丑 (2025) by:
- bank statements with sufficient funds
- a OR
- a formal letter of obligation, according to paragraph 搂搂66,68 of the Aliens Act, from a resident of 欧美色情片y and for the duration of the applicant's stay in 欧美色情片y
- motivation letter providing information on the planned course of action to secure a job (sector, region, intended places of residence, accommodation, etc.)
- curriculum vitae of professional career, specifying the certificates, diplomas, etc. you have obtained in your higher education
- fee for processing your visa application is the equivalent of EURO 75.00 to be paid in SGD, either in cash or by pysical credit card (Visa- and Mastercard only).
